Well, Im Lee Maxwell, and by profession I am:
I didnt train for this in college, but found out in a previous career that I was very good at diagnosing and fixing problems with Macintosh computers. I could make sense of problems many others found totally perplexing. I continue to make sense our of problems, both under the old Apple operating systems System 7, MacOS 8 and MacOS 9 and under the much improved MacOS X, which comes in cat flavors: Jaguar, Panther, Tiger, Leopard and the newest version, Snow Leopard.
My clients also tell me I am very good at explaining what is going on in clear langauge, without unnecessary technobable. I explain the options I see for them if there isnt an obvious solution. I also intercede for them with hardware and software company representatives to get them the technical support and customer servicey they deserve.
Ive been in business on my own for more than ten years, and before that was the in-house graphic designer and troubleshooter at Riverside Imagesetters, a graphics service bureau. I have more than a hundred clients, large and small, businesses and individuals, and I commit myself to every one of them, to fix the problem or at least find a workable and affordable solution.
By the way, I also am the former president of MacWaves, the Macintosh User Group in Monmouth County (which I encourage all local Macintosh users to join), and also teach graphics courses in the evenings for the Monmouth County Vocational School Districts Evening School for adults.
